Mizuno has unveiled the Morelia LS, a lifestyle shoe inspired by its classic Morelia football boot line. The release coincides with a visit to Japan by brand ambassador Mason Mount.
Japanese sporting goods company Mizuno introduced the Morelia LS as a modern lifestyle version of its Morelia GM indoor football shoe from the mid-2000s. The design retains the signature flap tongue, precise stitchwork and refined heel construction while adding Mizuno Enerzy and Mizuno Wave cushioning plus a rubber forefoot wrap.
Manchester United midfielder and Mizuno ambassador Mason Mount visited the company headquarters, stores in Tokyo and Osaka, and a boot factory during his trip. He described the factory experience as eye-opening and noted the many hands involved in production.
Mount said the Mizuno α III Japan boots required no break-in period and allowed immediate play. He added that the ideal is to forget one is wearing boots during a match.
He also praised the Morelia LS for its connection to Mizuno heritage and said he favours a relaxed, oversized personal style that aligns with the brand Sportstyle line.
