Major League Wrestling announced a new title during its June 13 episode of Fusion. The Southern Crown Championship will honor the southern roots of pro wrestling. An inaugural champion will be crowned in a Bunkhouse Stampede match.
Major League Wrestling introduced the Southern Crown Championship on the June 13 episode of MLW Fusion, which aired from Cicero Stadium in Chicago.
The promotion said the title pays homage to the southern roots of wrestling. MLW recently moved its home base to South Carolina.
The inaugural champion will be decided in a Bunkhouse Stampede match. Additional details on participants and timing will be released in the coming weeks.
The announcement came during a show that also featured title matches and other developments, including a no-contest in the MLW World Heavyweight Championship bout between Killer Kross and Matt Riddle.
