Modo finishes summer roster with Bourke contract

Modo has completed its summer roster moves after Troy Bourke signed his contract. Sport chief Henrik Gradin said the team is now set ahead of the preseason.

The signing of Canadian forward Troy Bourke marked the end of Modo’s off-season preparations. Gradin told Allehanda that no further additions are planned before the team takes the ice.

Gradin described the new squad as more balanced than last year’s version. He noted fewer standout offensive skills but a better overall structure suited to daily work.

The club has lowered its targets after missing promotion last season. Focus now rests on reaching the upper half of HockeyAllsvenskan rather than an immediate return to the SHL.

Modo currently lists two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 14 forwards. Gradin added that Swedish players are expected to set the tone in the locker room while still seeking the best talent regardless of nationality.
