Elon Musk has challenged a Reuters report about SpaceX pricing talks with the Pentagon over satellite terminals on military drones operating in the Iran war. Musk said the account was false but confirmed improper use of the commercial Starlink network.
SpaceX and Pentagon officials have disagreed on fees for Starshield satellite service during the Iran conflict. Reuters reported that SpaceX sought $25,000 per month for each connection on Low-cost Uncrewed Combat Attack System drones, up from the previous $5,000 rate. The Pentagon ultimately agreed to the increase, according to the report published May 26.
