The Argentine Consulate unveiled the Argentina Way sign at the intersection of 56th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Chancellor Pablo Quirno took part in the ceremony held on Wednesday.
The initiative driven more than a year ago by the Argentine Consulate led by Gerardo Díaz Bartolome received approval from the City of New York.
The resolution highlights the ties between Argentina and New York, celebrates the local Argentine community and recognizes the consulate's decades-long presence.
Pablo Quirno stated that few tributes carry greater meaning than seeing the name of Argentina in the geography of a city that helped shape the modern world.
The event reflects the strong bonds uniting both countries and joins similar recognitions such as Little Brazil and Little Spain.
