The NFL has suspended Arizona Cardinals director of college scouting Ryan Gold indefinitely after an investigation found he violated the league's gambling policy.
The league determined that Gold provided non-public information about the team's 2026 draft picks to third parties before the selections were announced. He was also found to have placed parlay bets on NFL and college games.
The NFL stated that while no game integrity was affected, violations of the gambling policy are taken seriously. Gold retains the right to appeal the indefinite suspension.
The Cardinals expressed support for the league's decision, noting it involves a single employee. The team said its focus remains on preparing for training camp and the 2026 season.
This marks the first public gambling-related punishment in the league since 2023. Gold is in his second season as director of college scouting and his 13th year with the organization.
