Leeds jungle artist Nia Archives has revealed her second album, 'Emotional Junglist', set for release on July 24 via Island Records. The announcement coincides with the release of her new single 'Boys In Blue', a track targeting her ex-partner portrayed as a police officer. The album features Jorja Smith and Sampha.
Nia Archives, following her 2024 debut 'Silence Is Loud', announced 'Emotional Junglist' on May 3. Produced alongside James Ford, Ethan P. Flynn, and Julia Michaels, the record includes guest appearances from Jorja Smith on 'Get Me Down' and Sampha on 'Tender'. The full tracklist spans 15 songs, from 'Feelingz Go Numb' to 'Boys In Blue' as the closer. Pre-orders are available now via Island Records. She first previewed the project with the single 'Danger' before unveiling 'Boys In Blue' on May 3. The pulsing track features lyrics like: “So go ahead and call the feds / You’ve lost it now, you’re out your head / To think that we once shared a bed / Now you’re tryna get me nicked instead.” The video, directed by Iris Luz, accompanies the release. Archives recently sold out a three-day run of shows starting May 1 in Leeds, with further dates at Hackney Church on May 8 and New York’s Bowery Ballroom on May 21. She is also booked for Jorja Smith and Tems’ curated day at All Points East 2026 in London and Sziget in Budapest in August. Her debut earned a Mercury Prize nomination and praise for its confident production.
