Nintendo has uploaded a special selection of tracks from the soundtracks of Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 to Spotify. The music is available only for a limited time and marks the company's first release on a major streaming service. The deal appears exclusive to Spotify.
Nintendo has made portions of the original soundtracks for Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 available on Spotify, as first reported by Eurogamer. This selection of tracks is designated for a limited period, without a specified end date. Unlike full soundtrack uploads from publishers such as Bandai Namco, this offering provides only select songs and excludes services like Qobuz, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music. Nintendo launched its Nintendo Music app in 2024, which features soundtracks from games including Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Star Fox 64, Metroid, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, and Kirby. The app reportedly has around 1 million users, compared to Spotify's 751 million active users as of its Q4 2025 report. The Spotify release coincides with anticipation for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, set for release in coming weeks. The film incorporates music inspired by the original games, potentially driving interest in the soundtracks.
