Noah Kahan has called on concertgoers to behave responsibly after reports of a fan defecating in their seat during one of his shows. The singer addressed the issue in a post on X on June 27. He also reiterated complaints about fans stealing a road sign mentioned in one of his songs.
Kahan wrote on X that fans should use bathrooms rather than relieve themselves in their seats. He noted the impact on venue staff, stating there is a worker with a “1000 yard stare after dealing with that.”
The 29-year-old singer referenced his own past experience, saying he once defecated onstage in Charlottesville due to dedication to his craft. The post followed a graphic video shared by a fan about the incident.
Kahan has previously asked fans to stop stealing the Alger Brook Road sign in Strafford, Vermont, which is referenced in his song “The View Between Villages.” He offered to pay for replacements and described the thefts as disrespectful to local residents.
