Tyler Kendrick, 39, faces manslaughter charges after allegedly running over his girlfriend during an argument at a Collinsville gas station on July 3. Amber Rena Lee, 37, died from her injuries.
The incident unfolded at a QuikTrip in Collinsville, a suburb north of Tulsa. Police say Kendrick and Lee argued over belongings in the parking lot before he backed his truck into her.
Officers responded to reports of a domestic incident and rushed Lee to a hospital, where she later died. Kendrick was arrested the same day in nearby Owasso with help from traffic cameras and a drone.
Collinsville Police Chief Matt Burke said investigators believe the death resulted from a cut artery in Lee's leg but are awaiting confirmation from the medical examiner. He noted the couple had been dividing property after their relationship ended.
Lee, a mother of seven children, was remembered by her mother as dedicated to her family. Kendrick remains in the Tulsa County Jail.
