Olympiacos secured its fourth EuroLeague title by defeating Real Madrid 92-85 in the final at Athens' OAKA arena.
The Greek side prevailed in a high-tension match where Real Madrid resisted until the final seconds despite injuries to its three main centers. Madrid led in the first quarter and kept the game close until the end, but controversial referee calls, including fouls on Campazzo and Feliz, swung the score in Olympiacos' favor with 36 seconds left.
Sergio Scariolo, Real Madrid's coach, praised his team's pride: "Nobody counted on us in the Final Four at the start of the season... I am super proud". He also addressed the referee decisions: "In this scenario, you know you have to pay a tax".
Andrés Feliz missed a tying three-pointer with 15 seconds remaining. Captain Sergio Llull commended his teammate's courage: "I prefer players like that, with the bravery to take those shots even if they don't go in". Olympiacos claimed its first title since 2013 and avenged its loss to Madrid in Kaunas 2023.
