The Pittsburgh Steelers' general manager Omar Khan has maintained a streak of keeping all draft picks on the roster or injured list since taking over in 2022. This year's class of 10 players presents the biggest challenge yet to that record.
Since becoming general manager in May 2022, no Steelers draft pick has been cut outright during final cutdowns. All 21 selections from 2023 to 2025 either made the initial 53-man roster or landed on injured reserve.
Pittsburgh selected its largest draft class since 2010 this year. The five Day One and Day Two picks are considered locks to make the team, along with fourth-rounder Kaden Wetjen and fifth-round fullback Riley Nowakowski.
Defensive lineman Gabriel Rubio and safety Robert Spears-Jennings face the toughest odds in a crowded roster. A prediction shows eight of the 10 rookies making the team, which would end Khan's streak.
