Örebro forward William Wikman signs two-year contract extension

William Wikman will remain with Örebro Hockey for at least two more seasons after signing a contract extension during the past campaign. The 28-year-old forward said the decision to stay was straightforward despite interest from other clubs.

Wikman enters his fifth season with the club and described feeling increasingly at home in both the organization and the city. He noted that his connection to Örebro has grown stronger with each year.

Family life played a key role in his choice. Wikman and his partner Elsa welcomed their son Eddie in February, which has helped him separate his personal time from hockey.

He said he has no plans to leave. "Jag har hamnat på en väldigt bra plats där det inte finns några måsten att flytta vidare," Wikman told NA.

The forward also hopes to lead the team on another playoff run, building on a semifinal appearance from his debut season.
