Pangilinan eyed to head flood probe subcommittee

Sen. Francis Pangilinan is being eyed to head a subcommittee continuing the flood control investigation, Senate Blue Ribbon chairman Sen. Erwin Tulfo said.

Tulfo made the remarks over DWIZ. He said the subcommittee would be formed when session resumes and only after the Blue Ribbon committee is fully constituted.

Tulfo indicated he would nominate Pangilinan as chairman if a special session elects Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian as Senate president. He also stated he plans to inhibit himself from the probe after his name was mentioned in the allegations.

Tulfo rejected calls to repeat the Blue Ribbon probe on senators already under investigation by the Ombudsman. He noted that evidence had already been forwarded by his predecessor Sen. Panfilo Lacson.
