Paul Wight made a surprise in-ring appearance during AEW Dynamite Beach Break, intervening to help Steven Borden, the son of Sting. The former WWE champion had teased the moment the day before.
Wight stepped in when Borden and Kiran Grey were attacked by The Swirl, consisting of Blake Christian and Lee Johnson. He took out both men, marking his first physical ring action since 2024.
The moment came full circle for Wight, who wrestled as The Giant in WCW and teamed with Sting as WCW Tag Team Champions. Borden is the son of the wrestling legend.
Wight had promoted the appearance on 10 Tampa News the previous day. He said he would be in the ring doing something secret and might slap some people around.
