Chile's Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) launched an inquiry after a passerby found human bones in Los Ángeles, Biobío Region. The remains were sent to the Servicio Médico Legal for examination and identification. The discovery took place last Thursday on Ruta Q20.
Chile's Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) announced the start of investigative proceedings after human bones were found in Los Ángeles, Biobío Region, last Thursday, as detailed by Brigada de Homicidios chief Jair Bravo.
Officers from the Homicide Brigade and the Criminalistics Laboratory responded to kilometer 7 on Ruta Q20 following the passerby's report. Under instructions from the Los Ángeles Local Prosecutor's Office, they conducted an on-site inspection and collected additional human bone remains.
"The brigade officials along with the Criminalistics Laboratory went to Ruta Q20 in the commune, specifically at kilometer seven," Bravo stated.
The PDI sent the bones to the Servicio Médico Legal (SML) for necessary examinations and identification. Investigations are ongoing.
