A police pursuit ended in a crash involving a motorcycle and two cars in the Jardins neighborhood of western São Paulo on Sunday afternoon (5). The motorcyclist was hospitalized in serious condition.
According to Military Police information, the motorcyclist was approached by officers but did not obey the stop order, starting the pursuit. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Alameda Joaquim Eugênio de Lima and Rua Guararapes.
Security cameras from a bar recorded the moment when the traffic light was red. The suspect tried to cross the intersection and was hit by a car, then colliding with a parked vehicle.
The motorcyclist suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. An incident report will be filed at the 78th Police District, in Jardins.
