The Paris club confirmed that feasibility studies will be carried out in the coming weeks and months to assess a possible expansion of the Porte de Saint-Cloud stadium to between 60,000 and 70,000 seats.
According to information confirmed on Thursday evening, Paris Saint-Germain no longer rules out increasing the capacity of Parc des Princes beyond the current 48,000 seats. In-depth studies must now determine whether such a project is feasible, particularly because of the Paris ring road that runs under the stadium.
The club is working in parallel on three potential sites for its future stadium: Massy, Poissy and Parc des Princes. The latter has returned to contention after the election of Emmanuel Grégoire. A decision is expected in the autumn.
The extent of the land that could be sold to the club would determine the feasibility of the project. The more land available, the simpler the works would be.
