PSOE Organization Secretary Rebeca Torró stated that leaking private WhatsApp messages and agendas unrelated to a judicial case "is not information: it is a hunt incompatible with the guarantees required by a democracy." She added that when a person is under investigation, only facts related to the case should be examined.
Government sources agreed that the information disclosed does not relate to the object of the investigations and violates the privacy of those affected. They expressed concern over leaks within ongoing judicial proceedings.
The UDEF report, accessed by several media outlets, claims Zapatero received 200,000 euros through Focus Social Research for influencing the Bolivian government in favor of Grupo Gloria. It details meetings with President Luis Alberto Arce and other senior officials in September 2024.
