Real Club Racing de Santander secured promotion to LaLiga EA Sports after defeating Valladolid on Saturday. The club returns to the top flight 14 years after its last relegation.
Promotion was sealed on Saturday against Valladolid. The side coached by José Alberto led the group without cracks and completed the project launched in 2023.
Ownership changed that year when Sebastián Ceria, through Sebman Sports International, invested 30 million euros. Together with president Manuel Higuera and sporting director Chema Aragón, the club balanced its accounts and backed a winning mentality.
Ceria, an Argentine mathematician married to a woman from Santander, also drove social initiatives such as women’s football and anti-racism campaigns. Supporters packed Estadio El Sardinero with renewed enthusiasm that peaked in the promotion celebration.
