Puerto Rican artist RaiNao has been named Billboard's Up-and-Coming Latin Artist for June. The recognition highlights her rising profile following recent releases and collaborations.
Born Naomi Ramírez Rivera, the singer has drawn attention for her open approach to queer themes in her music. She has described this as a natural part of her work and noted gradual shifts in the industry that allow more freedom for such storytelling.
RaiNao released her second studio album, Marcriá, on May 26. The project draws on Caribbean rhythms and explores themes tied to the five senses. Earlier this year, her collaboration with Bad Bunny titled "Perfumito Nuevo" reached No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart.
She made her NPR Tiny Desk Concert debut in May and continues to perform while signed to Rimas Entertainment. RaiNao has expressed interest in connecting directly with fans through live shows in the months ahead.
