Royal couple celebrates National Day at Skokloster Castle

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited Skokloster Castle in Håbo Municipality on National Day.

The royal couple arrived at Skokloster Castle in the morning. They started the visit with a guided tour together with County Governor Stefan Attefall and Municipal Board Chair Catherine Öhrqvist. The king delivered a speech during the stage program that included music and flag distribution. He also inaugurated the sculpture Kungsälgen created by Jerker Andersson at Skokloster Wärdshus. In the speech the king said it was the first time National Day was celebrated in Uppsala County which means the holiday has now been celebrated in all Swedish counties.
