Rush postpones Fort Worth shows after Geddy Lee illness

Rush has postponed two concerts in Fort Worth, Texas, after lead singer and bassist Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis.

The Canadian band announced the changes on Tuesday through its official Instagram account. The June 30 and July 2 performances at Dickies Arena will now occur on July 11 and July 13.

In the statement, the group said doctors advised Lee to rest before returning to the stage. It added that the decision followed more than 50 years of touring and a commitment to deliver the best possible show.

Guitarist Alex Lifeson said in a video that Lee could barely speak during soundcheck. He expressed regret over the postponement but emphasized the need to avoid a performance below full capacity.

This marks the second delay for the run. An earlier June 24 show had already been moved to July 2 due to travel issues. The band performed on June 26 and June 28. Previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates, with refunds available through the original point of purchase.
