A 35-year-old man allegedly stabbed a co-worker to death and injured three others aboard a charter bus at a Walmart in Bessemer, Alabama, last Monday.
Pierre Eskew of Louisiana attacked 22-year-old Darryel Sutton during a dispute that had lasted several hours or days. The argument centered on a female co-worker who had rejected Eskew's romantic advances, according to Bessemer Police Sgt. C. Selman.
The pair worked for Fess Security and were returning from the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, with about 40 colleagues. Their bus stopped at the Walmart for a snack break when the attack occurred.
Police responded to reports of a disturbance at approximately 1:13 p.m. Sutton later died from his injuries at UAB Hospital. The other victims received medical attention, and the remaining passengers continued their journey on a second bus.
