Australian Strategic Policy Institute researcher Gatra Priyandita explained China's expansion through 5G infrastructure, cloud, data centers, submarine cables and smart cities. He noted concerns over technological dependence and cybersecurity.
Johanes recommended the government compel foreign vendors to comply with the Personal Data Protection Law and data localization obligations.
