A member of The King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery was fatally injured during the Royal Windsor Horse Show on May 15. The incident occurred around 7pm after the troop completed its display and left the arena. Emergency services provided immediate care but were unable to save the soldier.
The show organisers confirmed that a horse involved in a fall just before the incident received prompt medical attention and was uninjured. The British Army notified the soldier’s family of the loss and expressed condolences to them and the wider military community.
