Son Heung-min scored his first Major League Soccer goal of the season to help Los Angeles FC defeat LA Galaxy 3-0.
On Friday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, Son Heung-min scored in the 58th minute from the top of the penalty area. The goal came in his 14th MLS match of the season.
Mark Delgado opened the scoring in the 26th minute and Denis Bouanga added a penalty in the 45th minute. Son handed the spot kick to Bouanga.
After the match Son said he had needed the mental reset from time at home following South Korea's World Cup exit. He added that the goal should give him a positive push for the rest of the season. LAFC moved to third in the Western Conference with 27 points.
