SpaceX aimed to launch its redesigned Starship V3 rocket on May 22 after a technical issue halted an attempt the previous day.
The company scheduled the test flight from its Starbase facility in South Texas, with a launch window opening at 5:30 pm CDT on May 22. This marked the first flight of the V3 version, which stands about five feet taller than prior models and uses upgraded Raptor 3 engines on both stages.
