Valve has begun sending Steam Machine order confirmations, leading some recipients to list their queue spots on eBay. Several pre-orders have sold or are listed at prices well above retail.
Listings include screenshots of Valve emails confirming queue positions for the 512GB model and higher configurations. One completed sale involved the 512GB model with controller, originally priced at £938, sold for £1,030.
Other active listings show higher markups, such as the 512GB version without controller offered at £1,511. A 2TB bundle with controller is listed at £1,823. In US dollars, some 512GB pre-orders have sold for an average of $1,500, with outliers reaching $2,000.
Valve introduced a registration and queue system to limit scalping ahead of shipments expected in July. The company has also updated its product page, changing the performance description from "4K gaming at 60 FPS with FSR" to "Up to 4K gaming with FSR 4.1".
Many sellers have extensive eBay feedback, though some appear to be first-time resellers. The fluid queue means buyers of these spots may receive units later than original registrants.
