Pittsburgh Steelers seventh-round draft pick Robert Spears-Jennings impressed during offseason workouts, according to beat reporter Ray Fittipaldo.
Fittipaldo highlighted the Oklahoma safety on a radio show Friday, noting Spears-Jennings had a strong spring despite limited attention.
Spears-Jennings recorded a 4.32-second 40-yard dash and showed playmaking ability in college, including eight tackles for loss and two sacks during his junior season in 2024.
The Steelers signed safety Jaquan Brisker this offseason, adding to competition alongside Darnell Savage and Sebastian Castro. Spears-Jennings will need to contribute on special teams to secure a roster spot.
A three-day rookie camp is scheduled for next week, giving the seventh-rounder another opportunity to build momentum before training camp.
