The Pittsburgh Steelers will enter a lottery to determine their selection spot in the NFL supplemental draft next month. Their placement depends on a new three-category system based on 2025 performance.
The Steelers earned a spot in the playoff team category after winning the AFC North in 2025. They will receive 12 entries in the third drawing, which could place them as high as 19th or as low as 32nd overall.
The supplemental draft order will not be made public. It follows a formula that groups teams by prior season wins and playoff status before holding lotteries within each group.
Pittsburgh has never selected a college player in the supplemental draft outside of the special 1984 edition. Interest in quarterback Brendan Sorsby could make the team's position relevant against clubs such as the Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Jets.
