The annual speedrunning event Summer Games Done Quick is underway this week, streaming live on Twitch and YouTube through July 12. Participants showcase video game speedruns across dozens of titles to benefit charity.
Summer Games Done Quick 2026 began on July 5 and continues through July 12. The event features at least 69 games ranging from triple-A releases to indie and retro titles. Runners aim to complete games as quickly as possible, often using glitches, randomizers, or custom categories.
Viewers can watch runs such as Dragon Quest XI, Super Mario Odyssey, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. A themed silly block is scheduled for Thursday morning with unusual games. Developer Andrew Shouldice is expected to attend the Tunic run.
The streams run 24 hours a day and have already included highlights like Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Devil May Cry 5. Organizers direct advertising revenue to Doctors Without Borders.
