The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the death of Twisha Sharma. A bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant will hear the matter on May 25.
The Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of the unnatural death of model and actor Twisha Sharma. The court registered the matter as In RE: Alleged Institutional Bias and Procedural Discrepancies In The Unnatural Death Of A Young Girl At Her Matrimonial Home.
A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and Vipul M Pancholi will hear the case on Monday, May 25.
Twisha, 33, was found dead at her matrimonial home in Bhopal on May 12. Her husband Samarth Singh has been taken into police custody. The Madhya Pradesh government has recommended a CBI probe into the matter.
