Star Wars: The Old Republic's update 7.8.1, titled Master's Enigma, launches on March 10, 2026, bringing a new story chapter after delays from the SAG-AFTRA strike. The update includes date nights, a refreshed galactic season, and the Spring Abundance Festival. Balance adjustments and bug fixes accompany these additions.
Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) developer Broadsword has scheduled the release of update 7.8.1, "Master's Enigma," for March 10, 2026. This minor update stands out as one of the largest in recent years, featuring a new story chapter to address delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA Video Game Voice Actors Strike from the previous year.
The Master's Enigma storyline involves companions Lana Beniko and Theron Shan attending a meeting on Odessen with Mandalorian and Empire-Republic leadership to discuss recent events. Republic representatives include Arn Peralun and Tau Idair, while Major Anri and Darth Rivix represent the Empire. Players will explore Darth Nul's ship, the Enigma, which incorporates design elements from the Eternal Fleet and Sith aesthetics. The narrative also includes an encounter with Darth Jadus on a location resembling Ziost. To access this content, players must have completed all prior main story chapters from the Legacy of the Sith expansion; an active subscription is not required if one was held since that expansion's release.
At launch, only English voice acting will be available, with French and German clients receiving subtitles and English audio. Native voice acting for those languages will follow once negotiations conclude.
Additional features include date nights with Kira Carsen on Tython and Torian Cadera involving cooking, exclusive to their original class stories. Completing each five times unlocks decorations: a kintsugi-style bust for Kira and a mythosaur-etched cutting board for Torian.
Galactic Season 10, "Secrets of the Syndicate," recycles rewards from Seasons 1 and 3, offering companions like Altuur zok Adon and PH4-LNX, plus new mounts and appearances. The Spring Abundance Festival returns to Blba Groves on Dantooine from March 10 to April 7, featuring Grogu-themed elements.
Balance changes affect Mercenary/Commando and Powertech/Vanguard classes, including adjustments to Hydraulic Overrides/Hold the Line speed boosts and Trauma Stabilizers mechanics. New achievements target Wreckage on Dantooine content, alongside fixes for dynamic encounters and missions. The Cartel Market introduces the Dantooine Invasive Flora Deco Bundle with 34 unique decorations. Stronghold updates add ceiling hook layouts and refine decoration placements.
A Twitch drop offers the T2-26 Scout Walker mount for watching five hours of streams between March 10 and April 7.
