Katrina Llegado and Ysabella Ysmael have inspired this year's Mutya ng Taguig contestants. The 37 delegates were presented to media on May 18 at Alta Guia in Taguig. Several aspirants cited the national titleholders as role models.
The presentation highlighted the influence of the two women who brought national titles to Taguig in recent years. Katrina Llegado won The Miss Philippines-Supranational while Ysabella Ysmael became Miss Cosmo Philippines.
Angela Okol of Barangay Bambang said the pair serves as an example for women across the country. She noted their persistence and ability to build on their strengths.
Danna Ashley Mayo from Cembo also praised their community focus and encouraged them ahead of upcoming international competitions. Both Okol and Mayo have prior experience in national pageants.
The group aims to succeed reigning Mutya ng Taguig Krisha Enaje of Barangay Hagonoy. Details of the final event have not been announced.
