The National Electric Energy Agency said the tariff flag will stay yellow in July, keeping the R$ 1.885 addition per 100 kWh consumed for the third straight month.
The decision was announced on Friday, June 26, 2026. ANEEL explained that less favorable energy generation conditions, typical of the dry season, prompted the flag to remain in place.
From January to April this year the flag stayed green. Yellow took effect in May because of reduced rainfall. In the same period of 2025, the red flag was activated starting in June.
Electricity costs affected the IPCA-15 by 0.08 percentage points in June, with a 2.04% rise that month. Inflation measured by the index stood at 0.41%.
