Tessa Blanchard has left TNA Wrestling following her request for and receipt of a release from the promotion.
TNA has seen several departures this month, including Myla Grace and Steve Maclin. Fightful Select reports that Blanchard asked for and received her release in similar fashion.
This marks the end of Blanchard's second stint with TNA. She previously worked with the promotion from 2018 to 2020, during which she held both the TNA Knockouts Championship and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
Blanchard's first tenure concluded amid controversy involving past accusations of racist behavior and her failure to appear for a title defense during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans greeted her return with hostile chants.
TNA had expressed dissatisfaction with Blanchard's continued work for CMLL, particularly after a loss to Persephone in April. Speculation remains unconfirmed regarding any ultimatum from CMLL.
