TNA Wrestling announced a workforce reduction on Wednesday, stating it was designed to streamline operations and sharpen strategic focus and profitability. The company confirmed that Tommy Dreamer's departure from the creative team was a mutual agreement.
Sami Callihan, a former Impact World Champion who had been working as a producer, announced on social media that he had parted ways with TNA. He wrote that he thought he was being offered a creative position before learning otherwise.
TNA also confirmed granting Tessa Blanchard's release request. Steve Maclin, Myla Grace, and Dani Luna were recently granted their releases as well. The company wished Dreamer, Blanchard, and others the best in their future endeavors.
The changes come ahead of TNA Slammiversary, which is scheduled for June 28.
