The Last Dinner Party has released the new single Knocking at the Sky from the deluxe edition of their album From the Pyre. The track marks the final song from the project and arrived alongside the expanded record on July 9.
The London band described the song as the closing chapter set in their imagined Los Angeles mythworld. "Hollywood is the ultimate fairytale," they said in a statement. The single was recorded at Church Studios with producer Animesh Raval and features a music video directed by Sinclair Bryant.
The group first played the track at London’s O2 Academy Brixton in December and included it in their set at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid on July 8. The deluxe edition also contains the 2026 single Big Dog and the spoken word piece Come All You Beasts.
The Last Dinner Party opened for Wolf Alice at Finsbury Park last weekend. They are scheduled to appear at Latitude Festival and Wilderness Festival this summer before supporting Sombr and Olivia Rodrigo on tour in the US later this year and into 2027.
