The Rolling Stones have launched a new official podcast called Speaking in Tongues. The series will offer behind-the-scenes details on their upcoming album Foreign Tongues ahead of its July 10 release.
The podcast features interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood. It is narrated by Norah Jones and spans six episodes that explore studio techniques, creative influences and the songwriting process for the new record.
Contributions come from producer Andrew Watt, The Cure's Robert Smith, Steve Winwood and cover artist Nathaniel Mary Quinn. The first episode is scheduled to go live on June 25.
Foreign Tongues follows the band's 2024 album Hackney Diamonds. It includes guest appearances from Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Steve Winwood and the late Charlie Watts, plus the previously released singles Rough and Twisted and In the Stars and a cover of Amy Winehouse's You Know I'm No Good.
Jagger recently discussed the album's range of styles at a New York launch event, noting that the band enjoys exploring ballads, country music and dance tracks. He also expressed hope for live shows next year.
