Three men were found dead after being struck by trains in separate incidents around Chennai on Saturday night. Local railway police are investigating each case.
A man in his late thirties died after being hit by an electric train between Guindy and St. Thomas Mount railway stations. His body was recovered near the tracks and sent to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital by Mambalam Railway Police.
In a separate incident, a 50-year-old man was struck by an electric train near Chromepet railway station. Tambaram Railway Police found the body on the track towards Tambaram and have begun an investigation.
A third man, aged around 40, was found dead near the platform for mail and express trains at Tiruvallur railway station. Tiruvallur Railway Police recovered the body and sent it to Tiruvallur Government Hospital for postmortem.
