Tom Hall announced plans to release behind-the-scenes material for the 2001 RPG Anachronox to mark its 25th anniversary. The developer shared details via social media and video on June 28.
Anachronox launched in 2001 from Ion Storm Dallas under Hall's direction. It followed the story of private eye Sly Bucelli as he pursued techno relics across the solar system.
The game featured absurdist humor with elements such as a mouse cursor as a character and a planet as a party member. It drew comparisons to Chrono Trigger in its gameplay style.
Hall stated in a video that he has uncovered old design documents and story outlines. He plans to share them through his newsletter and an Instagram post, noting the original game's cliffhanger ending.
The announcement came as the title continues to build a cult following on platforms including GOG and Steam.
