Uniontown Lions Club donates $500 to Pegasus Farm

The Uniontown Lions Club held its regular meeting on February 25 at Pegasus Farm Equestrian Center, where it presented a $500 donation to the facility. Members toured the center and learned about its programs supporting people with diverse needs. The club also inducted three new members during the event.

On February 25, more than 30 members of the Uniontown Lions Club gathered at Pegasus Farm Equestrian Center in Hartville for their regular meeting. The group enjoyed a meal provided by Chipotle and desserts from Hartville Kitchen.

Missy Howard, from Pegasus Farm, shared the organization's history and outlined its programs before guiding members on a tour of the equestrian center. Pegasus Farm operates with more than 200 volunteers and 34 horses, serving the community through various initiatives.

For 40 years, the farm has offered therapeutic equestrian programs, vocational services, and recreational and social activities aimed at supporting and empowering individuals with diverse needs.

As part of the meeting, the Uniontown Lions Club presented a $500 check to Pegasus Farm to support its ongoing work. The event also marked the induction of three new members into the club.
