Federico Valverde has spoken publicly for the first time about his altercation with Aurelien Tchouameni at Real Madrid. The Uruguay international said he received support from the club and fans after suffering a concussion in the incident. Both players were fined €500,000 by the club.
Valverde made the comments after arriving in Uruguay to prepare for the World Cup. He said the club and supporters stood by him during the difficult period following the early May clash at the training ground. Valverde added that the experience would help him become a better captain in the future while defending Real Madrid.
