Visby Roma has confirmed the signing of Canadian center Giorgio Estephan for the upcoming HockeyAllsvenskan season. The 28-year-old arrives from Kalmar HC.
Estephan recorded 23 points in 36 regular-season games with Kalmar HC last year. He previously played in Finland with Ässät and appeared in 36 AHL games before moving to Europe.
Sporting director André Lundholm praised the addition. He called Estephan one of Kalmar's best and most useful players in the playoffs and noted his leadership and experience.
The club has already added several players ahead of its return to the league, including Joona Voutilainen, John Dahlström, Juho Liuksiala and Jonathan Wikström. Estephan was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the sixth round in 2015 but has not played in the NHL.
