Visby Roma has added Finnish goalkeeper Joona Voutilainen to its roster ahead of the club's first season in HockeyAllsvenskan.
The 28-year-old was presented on Tuesday as the team's primary goalkeeper. He brings experience from four seasons and 152 games in the league, most recently with Björklöven.
Sportchef André Lundholm said Voutilainen matches the profile the club sought. "He has great experience, a high and even level in his play and radiates a calm that means a lot to a team," Lundholm said.
The signing is expected to provide stability and leadership both on and off the ice during the transition to the higher division. Voutilainen will compete with Filip Lindblad for the starting role.
Visby Roma is building its squad for the 2026/27 campaign with several other additions still to be confirmed.
