WOODZ, also known as Cho Seung Youn, has been cast in the historical action film Nambeol. The announcement came from production company Hive Media Corp on July 22.
WOODZ will portray Cheot Nom, a skilled archer who joins a dangerous mission to support his family. The film is set in the early Joseon dynasty and follows nine warriors heading to Tsushima Island to rescue captives taken by Japanese pirates.
Lee Byung Hun stars as group leader Im Eok. Go Youn Jung plays the independent Ae Ryeong, while Lee Do Hyun takes the role of Bo Gyeong, who leads the punitive force.
Nambeol remains in pre-production with filming scheduled to start in the second half of 2026. The production team noted that WOODZ will add fresh energy through his performance as he moves into acting.
