WOODZ（チョ・スンヨン）が、歴史アクション映画『南伐』への出演が決定した。この発表は、制作会社のHive Media Corpより7月22日に行われた。
WOODZは、家族を支えるために危険な任務に身を投じる熟練の弓使い、チョン・ノム役を演じる。本作は朝鮮王朝初期を舞台としており、日本の倭寇に連れ去られた捕虜を救出するため、対馬島へ向かう9人の戦士たちの物語を描く。
グループのリーダーであるイム・オク役にはイ・ビョンホンが主演する。自立した女性エ・リョン役をコ・ユンジョンが、討伐隊を率いるボ・ギョン役をイ・ドヒョンがそれぞれ務める。
『南伐』は現在プリプロダクション段階にあり、2026年後半に撮影が開始される予定である。制作陣は、俳優業に本格的に挑戦するWOODZが、その演技を通じて作品に新たな活力を吹き込んでくれるだろうと期待を寄せている。
