East China's Zhejiang Province has attracted visits from several foreign leaders due to its robotics industry and green development experience.
Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz visited robotics companies in the province. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made Hangzhou his first stop during a May visit to China and called for deeper cooperation in agriculture, the digital economy and artificial intelligence. Zhejiang-Pakistan trade reached $6.74 billion in 2025, up 19.3 percent year on year. Serbia plans to start mass production of Chinese-designed robots with AGIBOT and Minth Group in 2026 or 2027. Lan Jianping, vice president of the Zhejiang Development and Planning Institute, said the visits help local firms reach Eurasian markets and build long-term cooperation networks.
