Designer Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen has created a new exhibition at Null Object gallery that reimagines garments from her fall 2026 collection as sculptural objects. The show explores themes of life, death and rebirth through an immersive setup centered on a tub and a disassembled mannequin.
At Null Object, a gallery in Manhattan's Dimes Square founded by Nikki Mirsaeid and Alex Gvojic, Whalen has arranged pieces from her recent runway show around a central tub scene. A patchwork mannequin made from fabric scraps sits in the tub with one arm on the floor and a detached leg extending outward. Three ensembles hang suspended on fishing line nearby as watchful figures.
